The Organization for Nonprofit Excellence (ONE) Worcester, which provides pro bono business consulting to Worcester-area nonprofits, has received a $25,000 grant from The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts to support its efforts to build the capacity of small and growing nonprofits in Worcester County.
Through this grant, ONE Worcester will expand its consulting program in the areas of board governance, strategic planning, fundraising, IT, and diversity, equity, and inclusion. In addition, the organization will expand its online offerings at ONEWorcester.org, which feature a video library of webinars on topics such as DEI and sustainability for nonprofit leaders.
Alex Mooradian, Esq., Board Chair of ONE Worcester, notes, “Our ability to provide technical assistance to essential nonprofit organizations helps our community not only sustain itself, but thrive. This funding will allow us to reach and serve more nonprofit leaders and boards, strengthening their organizational capacity.”
“As an extension of the Foundation’s commitment to equity and inclusion, the Foundation is pleased to support ONE Worcester’s expansion of specialized technical assistance and training for both start-up and existing nonprofit organizations, particularly those led by and serving historically marginalized populations,” said Dr. Jan Yost, President and CEO of The Health Foundation of Central Massachusetts.
Since 2009, ONE Worcester, which was formerly known as Jericho Road, has served over 90 nonprofit organizations through pro bono consulting and seminars for nonprofit leadership. The organization is actively seeking nonprofit partners in need of pro bono business consulting and DEI assessment. More information is available at ONEWorcester.org.
