YOU, Inc. Names Paula Aiello as Interim President/CEO

September 6, 2019 — YOU, Inc. (Youth Opportunities Upheld), a Worcester-based nonprofit that provides youth and family health behavioral services in central Massachusetts, recently announced that Paula Aiello, its executive vice president, has been named interim president and chief executive officer.

She takes over from Kristine Bostek, who led YOU, Inc. since February 2017. The organization did not disclose why Bostek stepped down from the post.

Aiello has served as chief financial officer and vice president of administration at YOU Inc. for the past 29 years. She was appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer in May.

Aiello serves on the board of the United Bank and its charitable organization, and is a member of the Central Massachusetts Financial Executives Association. She also has held finance-related committee roles for the United Way of Central Massachusetts and the Worcester Boys and Girls Club.

Aiello earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Bryant University. She is a certified public accountant.

YOU Inc. also announced the promotion of Kristin Mayotte to vice president of advancement, education and community engagement from her prior role as vice president of strategy and program development.

Mayotte, a graduate of Nichols College and Assumption College, has held program management and executive leadership roles at YOU Inc. for 26 years. She joined the organization as an education specialist and then advanced to director of employment and training programs, then director of education, and vice president of strategy and program development in 2017.

Mayotte earned a bachelor's degree in social services from Nichols College and a master's degree in special education and teaching from Assumption College. She is a board member of the Dudley Charlton Education Foundation.

Founded in 1969 to redirect youthful offenders to become contributing members of the community, YOU, Inc. today, with a staff of 650 employees, serves 15,000 you and family members annually.

For the year ending June 30, 2017, YOU Inc. reported $33.9 million in revenue, of which $426,000 came from contributions and grants, and $35.3 million in expenses, according to its most recently available federal tax filing.
